Welcome to Draycot Aerodrome


Draycot Aerodrome is conveniently situated c. 5 miles south of Swindon and c. 7.5 miles north of Marlborough. Junction 15 of the M4 lies c. 2 miles to the north allowing easy travel to and from Reading, Bristol, Newbury, Hungerford, Oxford, Salisbury and Bath.


The Airfield is located in the heart of the picturesque Wiltshire Downs adjacent to the famous Ridgeway and provides the perfect back drop for picnics and a convenient base for walking or shopping in the nearby Regional Centre of Swindon. Wiltshire is blessed with an exceptional range of historical sites such as Avebury and Silbury Hill and the best known of which is the World Heritage site of Stonehenge.

When you travel around the county you should also look out for the eight white horses which are carved into the Wiltshire landscape. The oldest of these, at Westbury, dates back to 1778, but the present figure was preceded by a much older one which was reputed to have been cut in 878 AD.

Other nearby attractions include a host of crop circles within all within easy reach.
